Three years ago, CoDesign Studio initiated The Neighbourhood Project, Australia’s largest community-led placemaking action research project. Now we are celebrating its completion with a full day symposium of practical ideas, evidence-based thought-leadership, and community-led advances.

Come and join the placemaking party on 1 April 2019!

With inspiring guest speakers, leading practitioners, community placemakers and localism advocates in attendance, join us to learn more about the rapidly growing DIY city making movement.

  • Early bird tickets available here
  • Sign up to our newsletter and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates.
Here’s a little teaser of some of the discoveries our research program uncovered
  • A single community-led project can catalyse long term systemic change within a neighbourhood, supporting social, cultural and economic growth.
  • Meanwhile, traditional approaches to events and activations result in little to no increase in local social capital.

The Great Neighbourhood Summit 2019 is part celebration, part learning experience -- what’s not to love about that!
