Harriet is a designer with a passion for human centred placemaking and locally-led approaches to solve complex urban issues.

Harriet is an Urban Planner, specialising in human-centred placemaking. She has a passion for placemaking strategy informed by authentic community engagement.

As an accomplished project manager, Harriet has experience worked on the Braddon Placemaking and Strategy and Events/Activation Program which saw a series of community engagement activities undertaken to inform a place plan for the evolving Canberra suburb.

Growing up on a property in southern NSW, Harriet has a passion for working with rural and regional communities. She was able to merge her passion for placemaking strategy, genuine community engagement and regional communities whilst working on the Kiewa/Tangambalanga Placemaking Strategy. The project worked collaboratively with the community to decipher the towns unique identity and provided a roadmap for the future during a time of economic uncertainty.

Harriet believes that people can and should play and role in how their communities are shaped. She has played an important role in the development of guides and toolkits for CoDesign Studio’s flagship offering: The Neighbourhood Project, Australia’s largest community-led placemaking action research project

Harriet believes a multi-disciplinary approach is key for achieving desired place outcomes and creating places that prosper.
