With our energetic and visionary Chief Executive office at the helm since May 2018, CoDesign Studio has received a wealth of experience and insights from decades of work as a leader and innovator of placemaking.

Valli Morphett began her journey as a built environment specialist in landscape architecture. After years of work in Australia and the UK, she moved into community engagement while she continued to seek place-based changed that actively connected with the needs of people through the power of human-centred design.

Naturally, this led to her appointment in local government departments to influence citymaking systems from the inside out. Meanwhile, she established a suite of professional networks, placemaking teams, and local businesses - ever the one to be at the forefront of connecting people, ideas, and resources to see actionable change for more vibrant and resilient cities.

Today, Valli Morphett holds the position of CEO at CoDesign Studio, bringing her pink hair, laughter, and two lovely doggo's to our vibrant and hardworking office.

A leader of leaders, Valli Morphett also sits on the Project for Public Spaces’ Global Place Leadership Council and rattles the cage in her myriad positions including as Regional Network Lead for Placemaking X Asia-Pacific, founding member of the Engage 2 Act collective, past South Australian IAP2 Coordinator, and founder of placemaking peer collective Place Invaders.
